Turning a 1960’s bungalow in to a fantastic family home .
This project started life as a 1960’s bungalow and Bartram’s were tasked with supplying timber frame to transform this property into a 3 storey home.
Once the roof was removed and structural steelworks in place on the ground-floor our new easy joist floor and decking was installed to provide a level platform to which our timber frame could be constructed off. Insulated 140mm panels were used to the external element with fire board external sheathing due to tight nature of the site and close proximity to neighbouring properties.
Steel portal frames were used to for the large front elevation opening to accommodate the picture window and also cranked steel sections in the roof to maximise room space.
