Turning a 1960’s bungalow into a fantastic family home.
This project started life as a 1960s bungalow and Bartram was tasked with supplying timber frame to transform this property into a 3-storey home.
Once the roof was removed and structural steelworks were in place on the ground floor our new easy joist floor and decking were installed to provide a level platform on which our timber frame could be constructed. Insulated 140mm panels were used for the external element with fire board external sheathing due to the tight nature of the site and close proximity to neighbouring properties.
Steel portal frames were used for the large front elevation opening to accommodate the picture window and also cranked steel sections in the roof to maximise room space.
